We create and execute lots of cakes every weekend. Many times after finishing a cake I say to myself, “I hope they love it.”
It is my desire to create the perfect cake for my clients. There is such satisfaction if I make them smile, or say “yum” or want to take a picture of our work.
When I get a note or a call after the event, My heart jumps. Then I am awaiting their experience?
Just today I received a call for a cake order; the bride told me her name and said I did her wedding two years ago. I remembered this bride, her cake, the flowers, the band and the amazing ballroom. Then my next question was, “how was the cake?” She went on and on about how happy she was. I told her I wondered how everything went and that I was thrilled to hear from her. She said, “we are back because the cake was wonderful.”
All this to say, a hand-written note means so much to the person who worked on your event.
